dear diary,

i've stumbled across a problem in pursuing my twenty seven thousand dollar a year dream.

they're asking for a complete record of all college experience.

and they're asking for a high school transcript, even though i would be transferring in as an adult.

one miniature problem, is that i never graduated high school, officially. i took a proficiency exam which was the equivalent of a diploma, and left high school to go to a community college. i think i was 16 when i took it.

i went to the community college on and off for about four years, and managed to walk away with a gpa of oh say, 2.1ish?

[are you really curious about that 2.1 gpa? those years saw interesting forrays into mental hospitals and deaths and grievings and all that fun jazz] later i went to another community college and left with a 4.0.

so when i started up a community college here, in the midwest, we decided not to transfer that horrible 2.1 and we just stuck with the 4.0 to add to a collective of a fabulous gpa that is current.

so... do i have to tell this university about my first college experience? i never used financial aid, so they probably wouldn't find it if i left it off the application etc. unless they do a search by social security numbers. if i do tell them about it, it will lower my gpa and i won't get the scholarship.

do you see this dilemma? do i lie, play dumb, or be honest and get myself fucked in the ass?

again it's probably too late in my life to point out that i really wish someone had explained all of this to me in the beginning.

but it's the sort of thing that sits in the back of my throat and makes worry dolls unravel under my pillow.
