dear diary,

so the thanksgiving holiday was full of some typical family moments [see: uncomfortable] and some touristy attractions [see: civil war memorials] but mostly it was filled with nice things and sad remembery things.

i didn't realize how much i missed my mom and the ocean until i saw both of them.

i had some bonding time with my four year old cousin, who is incredibly smart for his age.

i know this because when he was bouncing a basketball he looked at me with deadly serious eyes and said, "the future of basketball is robots."

and i totally agreed.

also he made up a song about dragons stealing his underpants.

and he asked me to call him "fancy" instead of gabriel.

and, i did.
